'Insult to Kerala', BJP hits back at Kerala CM alleging breach of protocol by Sonia Gandhi

Written by : TNM Staff

BJP Kerala State President Kummanam Rajasekharan took to Twitter on Wednesday to question Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on alleged breach of protocol over an unveiling ceremony  in Kottayam.

Indian National Congress President Sonia Gandhi is scheduled to unveil the commemorative plaque and dedicate Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology to the nation at a government function to be held in Kottayam on Wednesday evening.

Kummanam’s tweet accompanied by a photo of the invitation card questions how Sonia Gandhi -a Member of Parliament- could deliver the inaugural address at a function where the state Chief Minister would be present.

The BJP says this should be seen in the light of the Congress party making a hue and cry over the recent invitation row which erupted over the withdrawal of the CM’s invitation by SNDP chief Vellapally Natesan to the unveiling ceremony of R Shankar’s statue by PM Narendra Modi.
