India's oldest woman dies at 112 in Kerala

The News Minute | MArch 24, 2015 | 12.00 pm ISTKunjannam Anthony, who had been recognised as the oldest living woman at 112 in India by the Limca Book of Records (LBR), on Tuesday breathed her last at Amala Medical College Thrissur.Anthony, who had been suffering from old age ailments, was unwell from the past two weeks and on Monday was admitted in a hospital..In October last year, she got the LBR certificate for being the oldest woman in India. It was the first time a woman's name was being entered in the Limca Book of Records as the oldest woman in India, ever since LBR started publication 25 years ago.Kunjannam was born in Thrissur district of Kerala in 1903.TweetFollow @thenewsminute
