IAS officer cautioned for posing in IPS wife's uniform?

A photograph posted on his Facebook page months ago has landed Ernakulam district Collector MG Rajamanickam in trouble.A Mathrubhumi report says that Rajamanickam has received a caution notice from the Kerala state government for wearing his wife Nishanthini IPS’s police uniform in a photograph. Nishanthini IPS is currently the Commissioner of Police of Thrissur district.Few months ago the collector posted a photograph in Nishanthini's uniform which later appeared in a news magazine. The picture posted on Facebook was widely discussed on social media, some had claimed his action was against the law.Mathrubhumi report says that a person from Kochi had complained to the government that the Collector had misused the uniform. Following this Home Secretary Nalini Netto conducted an enquiry.A caution notice has been issued to the officer for violating the Kerala Police Act.Picture courtesy- Mathrubhumi
