Actor Mohanlal released the first look poster of his upcoming film Neerali on Saturday.

In the poster, we see a smug Mohanlal starring out of a car window with his seat belt fastened. Mohanlal is sporting an orange t-shirt and a leather jacket.

Neerali, which means ‘octopus’ in English, is expected to be packed with action and adventure. The film’s title is also designed the same way, where the letters look like the arms of an octopus.

The tagline of the movie reads ‘Do or Die’.

Directed by Ajoy Varma, the film will see Mohanlal and Parvathy Nair in the lead roles. The film’s cast also includes Suraj Venjaramoodu, Saikumar and Dileesh Pothan. The making of the film began in late 2017 and is expected to hit theatres on May 4.

The film also boasts of a highly talented team of technicians like Stephen Devassy for music, Santosh Thundiyil for cinematography and Ajoy Varma for editing.

Neerali is produced by Santhosh T Kuruvilla, John Thomas and Mibu Jose Nettikadan under the banner Moonshot Entertainments.

Meanwhile, there have been reports that actor Meera Jasmine might star opposite Mohanlal in the film, making a comeback in the industry. However, there is no official confirmation regarding this.

Earlier, the film’s producer dismissed rumours that Kannada actor Kiccha Sudeep will be making his debut in the Malayalam film industry with Neerali. He had said that Sudeep was not approached for the film. Actor Meena was also reportedly roped in, but it is yet to be confirmed.
