CPI(M) office in Kannur bombed, one man hacked

The News Minute | February 25, 2015 | 9.20 AM ISTJust a day has passed after the CPI(M) state conference got over and a new state committee was elected and the party office in its strong hold has been attacked.The party area committee office in Chakkarakallu in Kannur district was bombed. The first floor of the building has been completely damaged. An eight member gang wearing face masks had come in bikes and committed the attack. The group also hacked a party member who was inside the party office. In the state conference the party had elected Kannur's Kodiyeri Balakrishnan as its new state secretary. It kept away former Chief Minister and the senior-most member of the party V.S. Achuthanandan away from the state committee.    TweetFollow @thenewsminute
