The News Minute | December 19, 2014 | 1.45 pm ISTThe Congress party’s mouthpiece in Kerala, Veekshanam, has come out with a scathing editorial about the ruling coalition member and MLA K.B. Ganesh Kumar in its December 19 edition. “Ganesh Kumar’s words (referring to his press conference of Thursday) had a colour and smell of kaavi (saffron),” the paper said. It alleged that his attraction towards the Sangh Parivar was a result of the LDF in Kerala not including him into their fold. It also said that the former actor Ganesh Kumar was moving towards the kaavi because many from people in the cine field are moving towards it. “It was only after confirming a membership in the BJP and its ticket to contest in the next assembly elections from Pathanapuram that Ganesh Kumar made the press conference yesterday and raised issues about corruption,” the paper alleged. It further attacked the MLA saying that he was forgetting the past – the manner in which the UDF volunteers helped him win elections, and post winning, how despite being an amateur he was made a minister in the A.K. Anthony government in 2001. It also reminded the MLA of how, in 2011, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy made him a minister again. It further said that Ganesh Kumar lost his minsitership not because of any conspiracy involving the Chief Minister, but because of the personal controversy with regard to his marriage. It ends saying that Ganesh Kumar could, in the past, easily let go of his family and blood relations for fame, and now, with the love for kaavi he could also very easily let go his political relations. “Changing roles in politics is not as easy as it is in movies,” Veekshanam warned Ganesh Kumar.Read - BJP will welcome Ganesh Kumar with garlands if he leaves UDF: Kerala BJP leaderTweet
