Balakrishna Pillai said that the Congress party in Kerala cheated Veerendra Kumar who had contested and lost the Lok Sabha elections from Palakkad constituency as a Congress-backed candidate, Manorama reported.Pillai was the chairman of the committee that was constituted by the state Congress to study the reasons behind its defeat in the Palakkad parliamentary constituency. He said that he had full details of who cheated Veerendra Kumar and that he would make it public soon.He also said that he had advised Veerendra Kumar to not contest as a candidate in Palakkad. Further, he made it clear that he or his son would not join the UDF government whatever offers are given to them. He, however, also made it clear that he or his son would not join the BJP. “We have nothing against the BJP but their policies and ours are different,” Pillai said. He also said that he had informed the Chief Minister in writing about the corruption that two ministers were indulged in. He also said that KPCC President V.M.
