Clash between student political groups in Kerala leads to a tragedy

1. An engineering student's death in Kerala on Friday has now been turned into a political spectacle as there is an effort  from different parties to claim him. Both SFI and Muslim youth league has claimed that the victim was part of their group. Read TNM report.

2. Some photographs taken from a village of Kannur district, shows the evidence of a latest killing of 40 dogs on August 22. The images stirred up a huge controversy, following which the Panchayath said that they had no role in it nor commissioned anyone to do it. Read details.

3. The main accused in the CET tragedy, in which a 20-year-old girl student was mowed to death at the College of Engineering in Thiruvananthapuram by a jeep driven by students, was arrested on Sunday morning. Read more.

4. For Onam Kerala heavily depends on flowers from farms in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka to meet its festival demands during Onam to decorate homes with floral carpets.With the increase in demand the flower prices has hiked considerably. Read a PTI feature.
