The CPI (M) state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan on Saturday said the government should register a case against BJP National General Secretary Saroj Pandey for trying to incite riots in Kerala, reports The Times of India.

He was responding to Saroj Pandey's statement that eyes of the CPI (M) workers would be gouged out, unless the violence against BJP workers ceased in Kerala.

The BJP national leaders have been attacking the CPI (M) in the state while taking out their Janaraksha Yatra, to expose the alleged political violence of the Left party. 

From BJP national president Amit Shah to other leaders like UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Union Minister Smriti Irani, they have all attacked the ruling party in the state.

Balakrishnan tried to belittle Pandey's statement by saying that CPI (M) workers were invincible. "BJP won't be able even to touch the hair of a CPI (M) worker," Kodiyeri told reporters in New Delhi on Saturday. 

Referring to another statement against the state government by Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, Kodiyeri said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should oust him from his post for making an acerbic statement. Parrikar, taking part in the Janaraksha Yatra on Sunday had alleged that the state was ruled by a rogue government.

The Janaraksha Yatra, kicked off by Amit Shah at Payyanur in Kannur on October 3, will conclude on Tuesday in Thiruvananthapuram.
