BJP to induct 1300 new members in Palakkad, most from CPM

The News Minute | October 22, 2014| 9: 45 AM ISTBharathiya Janatha Party (BJP) Palakkad district will issue 1300 new memberships today, in a function named “Nervazhiyilekku Navasangamam”, which means “united towards right path, to be conducted at Muncipal town hall. The party claimed that majority of the members who are about to join BJP are from CPM.“After Lok sabha elections the BJP membership is considerably increasing all over Kerala. We are proud to say that among these 1300 new members, 300 are from minority communities. Though majority are from CPM there are members from Congress, CMP and JVS, ” Krishnakumar, BJP, Palakkad district president told The News Minute. Reports say that the existing split in the district unit of CPM has helped BJP to increase its membership strength. BJP had campaigned in the Mundoor area of Palakkad, where the CPM’s internal clashes were very strong.
