With two days to go for his judicial custody to end, Malayalam actor Dileep has yet again knocked on the doors of the court seeking bail.

Dileep filed a fresh bail plea at the Angamaly Magistrate Court on Thursday. This is the fourth time the actor is approaching the court seeking bail.

The actor, who is the eleventh accused in the abduction and alleged sexual assault of a woman actor, has been in judicial custody for over 60 days now. Despite his previous three bail pleas being rejected—one by the Angamaly Magistrate court and two by the Kerala High Court—Dileep sought bail at the lower court yet again.

In his fourth bail plea submitted in a span of 60 days, Dileep, represented by Advocate Raman Pillai Associates, argued that he has thoroughly cooperated with the investigation team and that he should be allowed natural justice.

According to reports, Dileep's lawyer argued that the investigation team has not furnished any new evidence to keep him under judicial custody. The court will consider the bail plea on Saturday.

Dileep had briefly been released from Aluva sub-jail on September 6, to perform rituals for his father's death anniversary. Angamaly Magistrate Court had granted permission to Dileep to perform the rites, under the surveillance of the police.

Meanwhile, his close confidante and director Nadhirshah also approached the Kerala HC seeking anticipatory bail plea. Hearing the petition on Wednesday, the court asked Nadhirshah to be present before the investigation team on Friday for questioning.
