Thirty-year-old Seema Kushwaha has been missing since Tuesday, just 48 hours after she arrived in Bengaluru from Lucknow. Her husband, Umesh Maurya, a resident of Mahadevapura has been desperately searching for her. They have been married for three months, but Seema came to the city only on Sunday after completing her PhD from Lucknow. On Tuesday the couple had made plans to go for a movie in the evening. But when Umesh’s calls to Seema went unanswered, he began to get worried. When he rushed home, he found the house locked with his wife’s phone inside the house but she was nowhere to be seen.“I waited for some time and started searching for her in the vicinity, but did not find her. With the help of my friends, I went out on the streets with my wife's picture, asking auto drivers and other passers-by, but did not get any clues about my wife," Umesh told Bangalore Mirror.By evening he lodged a complaint at the Mahadevapura police station, where the cops showed him CCTV footage of nearby shopping malls, but she could not be spotted."My wife has carried a purse with her, and in case she had lost her way, she would have definitely called me or her parents. Now, my in-laws and brother are coming down to the city to search for her," he said.Umesh doesn’t suspect his wife of unfaithfulness but fears that some harm might have come her on the way as she is new to the city.
