Written by : TNM Staff

The body of a woman aged around 40 years was found in the well of the Uttaradi Mutt in Bengaluru’s Basavangudi area on Monday evening.

Mutt officials reportedly found the body of the unidentified woman around 4 pm on Monday, and informed the jurisdictional Shankarmutt police. Mutt officials say the woman is not associated with the Mutt.

It is still unclear whether the woman’s death was a murder or a suicide. The body has been sent to the government Victoria Hospital for post mortem. Although CCTV cameras have been installed around the Mutt premises, this particular area is not covered.
