Amidst growing protest against the event which is expected to be held towards the end of the month, the resentment towards the campaign is said to be soaring. The organisers of the event seem to be receiving violent and abusive comments laced with threats. The organisers of the event on Sunday posted a note on Facebook;'As we wait for adequate permissions to carry out our protests, we implore our supporters to protect our right to protest. The frequency of violent threats and sexually offensive comments are increasing. There is space for dissent on this page, but not for abusive language. We will continue deleting comments and if needed even report certain individuals who are spewing hatred in the name of culture and religion.'Human Rights activist Rachita Taneja, who was initially spearheading the campaign in Bengaluru, recently backed out after receiving threats on the social media, following which a new team was formed to organise the event. This team, however, chooses to remain anonymous, reports Bangalore Mirror.
