Two-year old allegedly sexually abused for three days by neighbour

​1. A two and half year old child was allegedly a victim of sexual assault for three days by her neighbour. This was reportedly due to the negligence of the ayah, who left the toddler to walk half way to her house, in Central Business District, which is when the perpetrator allegedly lured the child to his house. Read details.

2. Due to lack of basic human amenities in the existing slums, V Shankar, the Bangalore Urban district deputy commissioner has announced three more slums in the city already brimming with slums. Bangalore Mirror reports that the new slums would be Mathapura Colony at Yashwanthpura, Hobli in Bengaluru North Taluk and Banajigara near Hebbal flyover.

3. Around 2000 illegal shops in K R Market were cleared on Monday, as many shops had extended their shops congesting movement. The Deccan Chronicle reported that, the closing of shops by Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) was done after they locked up the Agriculture Produce Marketing Committee (APMC) which owes the BBMP Rs 1.72 crores. 

4. Post-mortem examination of a carcass of a tiger that was found on Sunday night in Nagarhole National Park showed that the tiger had suffered injured on its face. It had a deep gnash near the eye, apart from internal haemorrhage which could either be due to shock or injury. Read more from The Hindu report.

5. Veteran Congress leader and MLA of Deodurg constituency in Raichur district, Karnataka, Venkatesh Naik was laid to rest after he died in a rail accident near Penukonda in Anantapur district, Andhra Pradesh, on Monday. Read more.
