Written by : TNM Staff

Two women were allegedly murdered in their house in High Grounds police station limits in Bengaluru on Monday morning.

The deceased were identified as Santhoshi (58) and her daughter-in-law Latha (38). They were residents of Vasanthnagar area in the city.

Police inspector, Lakshmikanth said that a case of murder has been booked and investigations are going on.

"We are yet to find out the reason behind the murder. It seems to have taken place between 10:30 am to 11:30 am. Usually it is only the two women at home till afternoon. The bodies were found by Latha's 15-year-old daughter on returning from school at around 1 pm. They had been attacked with a  sharp weapon,"he said.

"The house had only one entrance, which probably means that the accused was a known to the victims. We are considering all possible angles leading to murder,"he added.
