Three persons, including two women, were killed and seven others injured when a mini van and a state transport bus collided head-on at Kodaje near Mangaluru on Saturday, police said.

The bus was proceeding from Mangaluru to Puttur and the van carrying 10 employees of a garment store was coming to the city from Puttur when the incident occurred.

The van was completely damaged under the impact of the collision, police said.

The injured have been admitted to various hospitals.
