Sandalwood actor Yash campaigned for both the BJP and JD(S) candidates in Mysuru and Mandya districts on Thursday.

Yash also clarified that he was not campaigning for any specific political party, but for good candidates.

“I don't think me campaigning for various leaders is wrong or giving voters the wrong impression. I am campaigning for the leaders whom I feel have done good work. For me, good candidates and those committed to the development are important,” Yash told the media.

Yash has campaigned for Sa Ra Mahesh, JD(S) candidate in Krishnaraja Nagar and BJP leader SA Ramdas at Krishnaraja constituency in Mysuru.

“The individual and humanity are more important to me that ideology-driven politics. A leader who stresses on improving quality of education, health and infrastructure should become the next chief minister,” the actor said.

The Kannada film actor said that the single largest party should form the next government in case of a hung assembly.

Meanwhile, several other actors have come forward to campaign for the BJP and JD(S). Popular south Indian actor Kichha Sudeep is campaigning for the JD(S) and his close friend BJP’s Raju Gowda in Ballari.

Tollywood super star Pawan Kalyan has agreed to campaign for JD(S) as well. According to JD(S) MLA Ramesh Babu, Pawan Kalyan has agreed to campaign in the Telugu-speaking belt in Bengaluru Rural, Kolar, Chikkaballapura, Ballari and Raichur.

Meanwhile, the Congress too has its star campaigners including incumbent Mandya MLA Ambareesh, actors Malashri, Abhinaya, Bhavana and Jayamala are also supporting the Congress.

The BJP too has bagged a few veteran Sandalwood stars. The party has senior actor Jaggesh contesting from Yeshwanthpur constituency. It has Malavika Avinash as a spokesperson and also actors Tara and Sruthi who have agreed to campaign for the party.

Meanwhile, actor Prakash Raj has been campaigning in coastal districts of Karnataka. Prakash Raj has supported Swaraj India candidates and has made his anti-BJP stance clear since October 2017, when he became politically active.
