This is a "punishment" Pooja Gandhi is unlikely to forget

Written by : TNM

This “punishment” is one that actor Pooja Gandhi is unlikely to forget, and it wasn’t even all that harsh.A judge in a Raichur court made the actor wait for an hour “for disrespecting the court”, before he would hear her petition for bail in a case relating to violation of the model code of conduct.Gandhi had contested the 2013 Assembly elections on a BSR party ticket, and had allegedly used a car without the necessary permits, for which a case of poll code violation was booked against her.Following the filing of the case with the JMFC I court had directed her to appear before it, and when she failed, directed that a non-bailable warrant be issued against her. When she appeared before the court on Monday, the judge said: “Non-appearance before the court amounts to disrespecting  the court. The directions of the court must be strictly followed.” Saying this, the judge made the actor wait for an hour in the court before he would take up her bail petition. At the end of this waiting period, the judge granted her conditional bail.
