Police investigate whether woman's killer was a spurned lesbian

The News Minute | April 4, 2015 | 4.35 pm ISTPolice are investigating whether a young woman who allegedly killed her friend a few days ago, was in love with her.Anusha and Divyashree were friends and lived in Mandya town. Anusha called Divyashree to an isolated place outside the town and allegedly strangled her to death. Anusha is now in judicial custody.According to a report in Kannada daily Prajavani, police are exploring whether Anusha was in love with Divyashree, who got married eight months ago, to a man who lives in Bengaluru. She still lived in Mandya in order to complete her studies. Police are still unable to uncover the motivation for the murder and are exploring the possibility that it may have been a case of a love gone wrong.
