PM Modi to break a record by staying overnight at Raj Bhavan

He is set to break a 28-year-old record by staying overnight at the Raj Bhavan in Bangalore, states a report by Bangalore Mirror. The PM will inaugurate the Integrated Food Park on September 24 near Tumkur. According to the report, Narendra Modi will be the first Prime Minister to stay overnight in Bangalore and at the Raj Bhavan since 1986 when then PM Rajiv Gandhi halted in the state during a two-day SAARC summit. None of the eight Prime Ministers since then have stayed overnight at the Raj Bhavan and even H D Deve Gowda would stay at his daughter's house in Padmanabhanagar whenever he came here.
