People will vote for Congress, even if candidate is a donkey, says Karnataka leader

The News Minute | October 21, 2014 | 12.48 pm ISTEven if Congress fields a donkey, it will get at least 25,000 votes, a state Congress leader has saidKarnataka Social Welfare Minister H Anjaneya hit back at the BJP for saying that they were closer to achieving a “Congress-free India”.Speaking to reporters on Monday, the minister said: “The BJP is delusional if they believe that they can build a Congress-free India. Nobody can build a Congress-free India. Even if the Congress fields a donkey in any constituency, it will get at least 25,000 votes,” said Anjaneya.He also said that the Congresss had its own vote bank and that across the country. Ten years ago, the BJP had trouble finding candidates for both local elections and Lok Sabha elections. He added: “If Priyanka Gandhi involves herself completely in party activities, the party can be rejuvenated.”
