A man working in the Bengaluru city railway station on Sunday morning allegedly assaulted a passenger, who asked him for information.

Subbaiah, working in the reservation counter at Sangollo Rayanna Railway station, allegedly stabbed Narayanaswamy, who was heading to Mysuru to see the Dasara celebrations with his family, reported The Times of India.

According to reports, the 52-year-old passenger had booked tickets for himself and his family for Sunday morning. As there was a lot of rush, he approached Subbaiah for information on which platform to go to.

However, Subbaiah allegedly pulled Narayanaswamy’s hand inside and stabbed him, at the same spot where he already had a wound that was healing, reported Public TV.

“When I gently reminded Subbaiah that his job is to help passengers, he got angry. I was taken aback when he pulled my left hand inside the counter and stabbed it with

a pen,” Narayanaswamy said.

“Apart from my family members, no one came to help me,” he added.

Narayanaswamy was rushed to KC General Hospital for treatment. He has lodged a complaint against Subbaiah with the railway police.
