Man booked for posting death threat on Karnataka CM's Facebook page

The Koppal police in Karnataka registered a case against a man who posted a death threat on the Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's Facebook page. 

Sunil Raykar, a native of Gangavathy, had posted a death threat on the CM's Facebook page on Tuesday night. 

The police registered a case on Wednesday, based on a complaint filed by Congress leader K Venkatesh. 

According to the police, Sunil had posted stating that the people in his village will kill Siddaramaiah, if he were to visit the place. The post was later taken down. 

The accused has been reportedly charged under Sections 287, 206, 153, 565, 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code. 

Gangavathy Police Inspector told The News Minute that Sunil is yet to be taken into custody.
