Live updates on the Karnataka bandh over Mahadayi dispute

As the 12-hour Karnataka bandh begins, normal life is likely to be affected in the state. The bandh has been called for by the Confederation of Pro-Kannada Organisations led by Vatal Nagaraj, who are protesting against the Goa government regarding the Mahadayi river water dispute. The confederations has called for a 6 am to 6 pm bandh demanding that Prime Minister Narendra Modi intervene in the issue. The bandh has been announced on the same day BJP National President Amit Shah is to address a rally in Mysuru.
