People who work in farms, those who sweat it out, cannot think of doing yoga, can they? They do not have time to exercise or even walk in the open,” the minister was quoted as saying by the paper. He further said children must be encouraged to play outside instead of doing yoga.He even took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying he was wasting his time professing the benefits of yoga and instead should be running the country.Former chief minister Jagadish Shettar criticised Anjaneya’s statements saying that it showed his “cheap mentality and culture” and was not good on part of the minister to speak ill of yoga. The Karnataka government has roped in actress Shilpa Shetty, who is the brand ambassador for yoga, for an official event at Kanteerva Stadium, added the report.
