The Karnataka High court on Friday refused to grant an interim order against the FIRs filed against former chief minister BS Yeddyurappa in connection with the alleged denotification of land scam.The BJP leader had submitted three petitions to the court challenging the registrations of FIR against him in three cases, reported The Times of India.A notice was issued to the Lokayukta police in this regard and the next hearing has been posted to July 2.The Lokayukta had registered 12 FIRs against him, other officials and private individuals in denotification cases based on a CAG report.The counsel for the leader argued that Karnataka Lokayukta Act was not referred to carefully while registering the FIRs. "If every denotification case is taken out and FIRs are registered as is done now, then every chief minister of the state will be before the court for the next 10-15 years," senior advocate Ashok Haranahalli was quoted as saying by the paper.
