Indiranagar residents meet MLA candidates, present citizen charter

Written by : Soumya Chatterjee

Citizen collectives in Bengaluru are upping the ante in the forthcoming polls and are making sure they are making their demands clear to their candidates.

I Change Indiranagar, a collective of eight resident welfare associations, met incumbent MLAs and candidates from the Congress and Aam Aadmi Party of CV Raman Nagar and Shantinagar over the weekend.

All the candidates were handed a 16-point citizens charter. The primary demand of the charter is the introduction of participative governance through the constitution of ward committees, and public scrutiny of developmental plans and budget.
