IAS officer DK Ravi is likely to have committed suicide, DC reports

Nearly two months after IAS officer D K Ravi is alleged to have died under mysterious circumstances, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is likely to rule out any foul play in his death, a Deccan Chronicle report said.An official told the paper the investigation was nearly complete and all the evidence and forensic material had been examined. The official further stated that they had procured all the service files from the Commercial Tax Department where he was last working to find out more about the alleged threats he had received from people against whom he had conducted raids.D K Ravi’s autopsy and viscera reports were examined by the CBI and they were in discussion with the forensic experts at Victoria Hospital who carried out the late officer’s post-mortem. Although they are convinced that it was a case of suicide, they agency will reportedly investigate the circumstances that led him to such an extreme step.
