Housing Minister Ambareesh did not utilise single rupee from budget: CM Siddaramaiah

 Replying to a question in the assembly, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that Housing Minister MH Ambareesh had not utilised any of the budgetary funds allocated to the ministry for the current financial year, reported Bangalore Mirror."A budgetary allocation of Rs 3,818 crore was made for various projects in the housing department. Though other departments have managed to utilise some of the allotted funds, the housing department did not use a single rupee till the end of May," the report quoted the chief minister as saying.The actor-turned-politician refuted the allegations by saying that the department had utilised the funds and was making progress. He claimed that information provided to the chief minister was erroneous and held the finance department responsible for the mistake. He has even written a letter to the finance department, the report said.Only last week, Ambareesh had dashed off a letter to Siddaramaiah expressing dissatisfaction over not being consulted while making key appointments and not consulting him in affairs related to his home district Mandya.
