High Court gives interim order, permits for kambala for now

The News Minute | December 15, 2014 | 1.57 pm ISTThe Karnataka High Court has permitted the organization of the Kambala in a manner that does not harm the animals.The Udupi District Kambala Committee had approached the high court after the Deputy Commissioners of Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts issued orders banning Kambala in line with the Supreme Court order.In an interim order, the high court has stayed the orders issued by the district administration of these two districts.
