Hassan family pledges to donate bodies for medical research

Four members of a family in Hassan district have pledged to donate their bodies for medical research.

According to the TV9 Kannada report, the family hails from Doddapura village in Hassan taluk.

Kamalamma and her husband Parameshwara, their son Phaniyendra and his wife Vijaya have all decided to donate their bodies at the Shri Dharmasthala Manjunateshwara Ayurveda Hospital in Hassan city.

According to the TV9 Kannada report, Kamalamma said that the family had been talking about it some time ago, and that they had recently made their decision.

Parameshwara made the decision after the family had a tough time finding a place to conduct the last rites of his mother.
