The News Minute | March 4, 2015 | 6.58 pm ISTA government official who installed CCTV cameras in his office with the permission of his supervising officers to check corruption, has now resigned, reportedly unhappy with the lack of cooperation from his seniors.According to a report in Kannada daily Vijaya Karnataka, H S Cheluvaraju, a sub-registrar in T.Narsipur taluk of Mysuru district had sought the permission of his senior officers to install CCTV cameras in the office where he worked. Although it was approved, some of his subordinate colleagues who came under pressure from middlemen were reportedly uncooperative, making it difficult for him to continue working there.Therefore, he resigned on February 27, after having been with the department since 1998 and served in Dakshina Kannada, Mandya and Mysuru districts in his career.Senior Inspector N Prakash told Vijaya Karnataka that he had received Cheluvaraju’s resignation letter only on March 3, and that he was yet to speak to him.TweetFollow @thenewsminute
