Eleven days after RSS member Rudresh was brutally murdered in Bengaluru, the city police have arrested four persons.

October 16, Rudresh was hacked to death by two bike-borne men on Milkman Street in the busy Shivajinagar area.

According to a media statement, the police arrested Mohd. Majidullah alias Mujib(44) from RT Nagar, Mohd Sadiq(35)  from JC Nagar, Vasim Ahmed (36) from Austin Town and Irfan Pasha (30) Govindapura on October 27.

The police said that the attackers split themselves up into two groups – one to attack and the other to ensure that it was carried out.

The police are investigating whether more people were involved.

On the day of attack, Rudresh was getting back home from the RSS members meeting and march-past with his friend Jairam. The men rode up to them and attacked Rudresh with a sharp weapon.

Rudresh was rushed to Bowring Hospital where he was declared brought dead. He is survived by his wife Divya and two children.

The police and administration had to deploy Rapid Action Force (RAF) contingents along with police vigilance to avert any mishap in Shivajinagar.
Section 144 was imposed in seven areas around Shivajinagar the day after the murder.
