Forensic laboratory confirms former BJP minister's voice in sexual harassment case tapes

The News Minute | October 15, 2014 | 08:49 am IST The Forensic Science Laboratory has confirmed former minister and BJP leader S A Ramdas' voice in the audio and video clips provided by Prema Kumari, states a report by Deccan Chronicle. CID officials probing the case of cheating and sexual harassment against Ramdas, will reportedly submit the final report to the court soon.  The controversy began around January this year when Prema Kumari, an employee with the revenue department, accused Ramdas of sexually harassing her and cheating her by promising to marry her. In February, she filed a compliant with the Mysore Police, which later transferred the case to the CID. After the accusations against Ramdas became public, he denied all the allegations against him and had even attempted suicide. He also filed a case against Prema Kumari for extortion. To substantiate her charges, Prema Kumari, submitted several video and audio tapes which allegedly had Ramdas' and her conversations, along with letters allegedly exchanged between the two, reports Bangalore Mirror.According to a report in The New Indian Express, Prema Kumari has asked the former minister to accept that they were in a relationship and to marry her at least now.
