Court to rule on Karthik Gowda's anticipatory bail on Saturday

The News Minute | September 5, 2014 | 5.32 pm ISTA Bangalore court has reserved its order on Railway Minister Karthik Gowda’s application for anticipatory bail for Saturday.A woman named Maitreya Gowda filed a case of rape and cheating against Karthik Gowda, D V Sadananda Gwoda’s son, alleging that she and Karhik were married at a private ceremony in his house in Mangalore. She said she filed a complaint after she found out that Karthik was engaged to another woman. The case has been registered with the R T Nagar police station in Bangalore, who have now obtained an arrest warrant for him after he failed to appear before them for questioning.The lawyer for Maitreya Gowda opposed the bail plea in the Sessions Court, saying that Karthik was an influential person therefore was the chance that he might destroy evidence.Read: Bangalore court issues arrest warrant for Karthik Gowda, Railway Minister's son
