Court grants conditional anticipatory bail to Railway Minister's son Karthik Gowda

The News Minute | September 8, 2014 | 5 pm ISTA Bangalore Sessions Court has granted conditional anticipatory bail to Railway Minister D V Sadananda Gowda’s son Karthik Gowda in a rape and cheating case filed against him by an actor.Bangalore Police had declared Karthik Gowda absconding after he failed to appear before the R T Nagar police for questioning despite being issued two notices. Read: Bangalore court issues arrest warrant for Karthik Gowda, Railway Minister's sonAfter being adjourned twice, the Sessions court on Wednesday granted condition anticipatory bail to Karthik Gowda after the latter furnished a bail bond of Rs 2 lakh and a surety. He was also told to appear before the court soon.The court said that the he must appear before the court twice a month, cooperate with the police in the investigation.
