The News Minute | November 13, 2014 | 08:23 am IST The body of a 17-year-old girl was found in the Lalbagh lake on Wednesday morning, states a report by Bangalore Mirror. Morning walkers were shocked to find a body floating in the lake and they informed the police. The police ruled out sexual assault and suspect the girl could have committed suicide following a failed affair. The girl used to live in an orphanage in Chamrajpet, and used to attend a government school in Hombegowdanagar. She usually returned from school 'before darkness set in', but on Tuesday she didn't. The orphanage she lived in, however, did not register a missing complaint, states the report. The body of the girl, in her school uniform, helped the police track her identity. They sent pictures of her to nearby government schools and later in the day her identity had been confirmed.
