Written by : TNM

The News Minute | December 9, 2014 | 09:11 am IST The legislature sessions in Belagavi reportedly boast of a 100 percent attendance by its MLAs and MLCs. According to a Bangalore Mirror report, Assembly speaker Kagodu Thimmappa feels that this could be due to almost no or fewer 'distractions' in Belagavi, as compared to Bengaluru. "All through the session, the legislators do not have any other distraction than to attend the legislative assembly and council proceedings", the speaker told the paper. According to secretariat officials, while MLAs in Belgavi clock above 99 percent, in Bengaluru the 'attendance has fallen below 50 per cent', adds the report.
