The News Minute | May 28, 2014 | 8:16 AM IST After allegations emerged that Bangalore Additional Director General of Police, P Ravindranath took photographs of a woman at a coffee shop on Monday, the senior police man resigned his office on Tuesday. The victim’s complaint was later filed into an FIR under Section 354 of Indian Penal Code for outraging the modesty of a woman and Section 506 of IPC, criminal intimidation.Interestingly, the complaint does not carry the name of Ravindranath. The incident goes like this - on Monday the senior police officer who was in civilian clothing was pulled up by the police from the coffee shop after a woman accused that he was clicking her photos with his mobile camera. She also alleged that he was behaving in an objectionable manner. Reports suggest that he revealed his identity only after he was locked up inside the High Grounds Police Station. The officer was let of as the official complaint was not filed at the time. Ravindranath later tendered his resignation to Home Minister K.J. George. Ravindranath says that he was being framed by other top officials. He claims that his mobile was snatched by someone else and denied clicking any pictures.Home Minister K J George said that a decision on the resignation will be taken only after the probe is completed.
