Arrested for kidnap and sale of toddler in Bengaluru

The News Minute | February 15, 2015 | 11.30 PM ISTPolice has arrested four people in a case of kidnap of a one-and-half-year-old boy in Bengaluru. Subhan Khan was suffering from fever and was taken to the the Jayanagar General Hospital by his mother. A distant relative of the boy Ghouse Peer took Subhan from his mother on the pretext of buying chocolate for him, The Hindu reported.Peer had asked his friend Anwar and his wife Firdose to act as the kid’s parents and take him to Madanapalli in Andhra. There the kid was handed over to Adil, a man who would hand over Subhan to a childless couple. The four sold Subhan to a small businessman by the name Rizwan for Rs. 80,000. The Tilak Nagar police formed a special team to crack the case.
