Another case of sexual assault in B’luru: Stalker grabs woman, bites her

A day after the Bengaluru police arrested four people in connection with the Kammanahali molestation case, another case of sexual and physical assault has been reported in the KG Halli police station limits.

At 6.30 am on Friday, a 23-year-old woman was walking towards Arabic College Bus Stop near Nagawara Main Road in HRBR Layout, when a man allegedly started stalking her and later assaulted her, said police sources.

The man allegedly grabbed her, bit her lips and tongue. The girl also sustained injuries on her arms and legs in the process.

She was on her way to catch a bus to her work place in Koramangala when the incident occurred.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment and later filed a complaint with the KG Halli police.

In the Kammanahalli case as well, Bengaluru police commissioner Praveen Sood confirmed on Thursday that the victim was being stalked by the accused for a few days before they sexually assaulted her on New Year’s Day.

The CCTV footage released had generated outrage as the incident followed reports of alleged “mass molestation” on New Year’s Eve at MG Road and Brigade Road.

The video shows a woman getting off an auto rickshaw and walking towards her house on the Kammanahalli 5th Main Road, while another woman settles the auto fare. The second woman then hops out of the auto and walks into the lonely road. Two men on a bike drive past her. On seeing her, the rider makes a U-turn and intercepts her.

The rider of the bike gets off and grabs the woman, forcibly kissing her and harassing her even as she struggles to get away. The man then drags her to his friend, who remains seated on the bike. The two of them assault her and try to remove her clothes. As the woman puts up a brave fight, trying to get away, the men shove her on to the ground and ride away.

The Bengaluru police arrested four people in connection with the Kammanahalli assault, including prime accused Aiyappa, a delivery boy.
