All in a day's work: Shortage of doctors, shouting and namaz

The News Minute | June 26, 2014 | 6.13 pm ISTLegislators in the Assembly got into an altercation during the ongoing Legislature session in the state, during a debate on the shortage of doctors in government hospitals.BJP MLA Sunil Kumar raised the issue in the Assembly and was interrupted by Janata Dal (Secular) MLA Y S V Datta. Datta spoke heatedly, to which Minister for Health and Family Welfare U T Khader reportedly asked if shouting about the issue would make doctors serve in government hospitals.Not to be done Sunil Kumar threw in his bit as Khader and Datta argued. He retored: “Will they come by offering namaz?”
