4-year-old allegedly sexually assaulted in Bangalore school

The News Minute | October 22, 2014 | 08:29 am IST A four-year-old girl, who studies in an international school in Bangalore, was allegedly sexually assaulted inside her school premises on Tuesday, states a report by The Hindu. The girl was crying when she was picked up from school and was not behaving normally. Her parents founds injuries on her private parts, following which she was taken to a hospital. A medical examination will be carried out to establish sexual assault. A criminal case has been registered under the Sections 4 and 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act 2012 and IPC section 376 (rape) after the girl's parents filed a complaint in the Jalahalli Police station. The police have started investigating into the matter. Sarah Fatima, assistant commissioner police (Malleswaram) has been given charge of the investigation. School officials have also been questioned about the incident. The police have also been going through the CCTV footage from the school.
