Writer Vela Ramamoorthy plays Dhanush’s father in ENPT

Written by : TNM

Well-known writer Vela Ramamoorthy, who rose to fame after he forayed into acting with films such as Sethupathi and Kidaari, is a busy actor with a good line-up of films in his kitty. Among the films he’s busy with, the most anticipated one is Ennai Noki Paayum Thota, in which he plays Dhanush’s father. Interestingly, he plays a modern avatar in the film as opposed to his usual rural getup and this is apparently one of the reasons why he signed the project without much thought.

In the film, he will be seen sporting casual tees and jeans. He had also revealed that he learnt horse-riding for the project, which is inching closer to completion. Dhanush plays a college-goer in the film, and he falls head over heels for the actress played by Megha Akash.

Nearly 80 per cent of the shoot has been completed, and the makers have taken a short break and will resume shooting from March. In the interim, Dhanush will complete his portion for VIP2, while Gautham will finish a major chunk of Dhruva Natchathiram with Vikram.

Vela Ramamoorthy also has Aramm, Thondan and Padhungi Paayum in the offing.
