When it's time for war, he will get on the battlefield: Soundarya on Rajini’s political entry

Written by : TNM

Ever since Rajinikanth hinted that he would be announcing his political entry, speculations have been rife. And now, filmmaker Soundarya Rajinikanth has said that her superstar dad, Rajinikanth will decide on his political entry at the right time. During the past several months, the star had hinted that he would be taking the plunge but there was no clear indication on when he would.

A few months ago, Rajini had said that the current political scenario in the state requires a change. Leading journalist, Gurumurthy, speaking to a top television channel in an interview also pointed out about Rajini’s imminent political foray.

Speaking to IANS about Rajinikanth’s political plans, Soundarya had said, “I think I'll just say what dad had said at the fans meet. When it's time for war, he will get on the battlefield.” It may be mentioned that Rajinikanth, while addressing his fans a couple of months ago, had said, “I have my profession, my job. I have some responsibilities and you have your jobs. Go back to your respective places and do your job. Let's meet when it's time for the war,” giving a strong indication about his political plunge.

Meanwhile, Rajinikanth is busy with two projects coming up for release next year. While the magnum opus 2.0, which is being directed by Shankar on a huge budget, is currently in the post-production stage and is likely to hit the marquee early next year, the Pa Ranjith directorial Kaala is slated for release during summer 2018.
