'Yaaradi Nee', a single from the upcoming Tamil film Jarugandi has been released on Wednesday. Starring Jai, Reba Monica John, Amit Tiwari and others, the film has music by Bobo Shashi.

The catchy song, however, has been sung by Yuvan and the video has visuals of Yuvan singing in the studio as well as shots from the film. Yuvan, who has a huge fan following for his music, is also an accomplished singer. He recently produced the romance hit Pyaar Prema Kadhal which had former Bigg Boss Tamil contestants Harish Kalyan and Raiza in the lead roles. Yuvan had also sung a few songs for the film. As singer, his first outing was with Anjali, his father Ilaiyaraaja's album for director Mani Ratnam. Since then, Yuvan has sung several songs, including in films where he has composed the music.

Said to be a comedy drama, Jarugandi has been directed by AN Pitchumani and is co-produced by Nitinsathyaa. AN Pitchuman has worked as an assistant director to Venkat Prabhu, who is well-known for films such as Chennai 600028, Saroja and Goa.

Jarugandi marks the Tamil debut of Malayalam actor Reba Monica John, who has acted in Jacobinte Swargarajyam and Paippin Chuvattile Pranayam.

Jai has notched up some memorable performances in films like Chennai 600028, Engeyum Eppodhum, and Raja Rani. However, the actor has been in the news for all the wrong reasons in recent times, from drunk driving to allegedly creating problems for the producer of Balloon.
