The official trailer of Kadaram Kondan, Vikram’s upcoming film produced by Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films, was released on Wednesday. This film marks the debut of Abi Hassan, Nasser’s son.

The trailer begins with a couple - a pregnant woman played by Akshara Haasan talking to Vasu played by Abi Hassan. There’s a break-in, an abduction and the trailer gets fast paced from here.

There’s plenty of action in the trailer and Vikram makes an appearance halfway into it as the undercover turned double agent, the "best of commandos". Popular Malayalam actor Lena also makes an appearance in the trailer as the fiery officer who claims with authority in one shot, “This is my case”.

Shots are fired, skulls are smashed and vehicles are chased and the trailer promises for a high octane action flick, no less. Vikram as KK seems to be on the run and the trailer ends with a promise to reveal more soon.

Written and directed by Rajesh M Selva, Kadaram Kondan is gearing up for a release this July. The film has music by Ghibran, cinematography by Srinivas R Gutha and has been edited by Praveen KL. This film will be Raaj Kamal Film’s 45th production.

While Vikram’s previous release was Saamy Square last year, he currently has Dhruva Natchathiram up for release and Mahavir Karna in the making. Vikram had paused his film for a brief while to make sure that his son Dhruv Vikram has the right launch with his upcoming Adithya Varmaa.

Vikram also has a yet-untitled action-thriller project with Ajay Gnanamuthu, dubbed Chiyaan Vikram 54. To be produced by 7 Screen Studio in association with Viacom 18 Studios, the project will go on the floors from August this year and the makers plan to release it in April 2020.
