Watch: Vidya Balan wishes Jyothika and ‘Kaatrin Mozhi’ team in Tamil

Actor Vidya Balan, in a heart-warming video, has congratulated and wished Jyothika and the entire team of Kaatrin Mozhi the very best, ahead of the film’s release.

The actor put out a 38-second clip where she says she’s very excited to watch the film.

“I was very happy and proud to know that Jyothika will be reprising my Tumhari Sulu role in Tamil. All the very best to Jyothika, Radha Mohan sir, Dhananjayan sir and everyone associated with Kaatrin Mozhi from all of us in the Tumhari Sulu team. I’m very eager and excited to watch the film, I’m sure all of us are. All the very best!” she said in the video, speaking in a mixture of Tamil and English.

Jyothika’s Kaatrin Mozhi will release on Friday, November 16. The ‘Jimikki Kammal’ video-song from the film was released on Monday and has received good response from fans so far.

The film that has received a ‘U’ certification will release alongside Sei, Uththravu Maharaja and Chithiram Pesuthadi 2. With music by AH Kaashif, the film’s cinematography has been done by Mahesh Muthuswami with Praveen KL editing it. Produced by G Dhananjayan, S Vikram Kumar, Lalitha Dhananjayan of BOFTA Mediaworks India, the film is the Tamil remake of the Bollywood flick Tumhari Sulu and has been directed by Radha Mohan, who previously worked with Jyothika in Mozhi.

Kaatrin Mozhi also stars Vidharth, Lakshmi Manchu, Kumaravel, MS Bhaskar, Manobala, Mohan Raman, Uma Padmanabhan, Sindhu Shekaran, Seema Taneja, and Master Tejas.

Kaatrin Mozhi is the story of a homemaker who turns an RJ for a late night show by chance. Vidya Balan’s role from the original won her critical acclaim. It was reported that upon watching the original, Jyothika had expressed her desire to remake it in Tamil to director Radha Mohan.
