The News Minute | October 27, 2014 | 12.27 pm ISTThough Diwali may be over, the phrase “better late than never” comes to mind as one watches a video, shot by Rajiv Menon and uploaded by Vel records on YouTube. The video which has 52,000 plus views and 3,000 plus likes, beautifully portrays the spirit of Diwali and conveys the main message on the spirit of sharing in a heartwarming way. The video is made in an appeal to help the Vizag flood victims who are still recovering from the devastating effect of the cyclone Hudhud that swept the state of Andhra Pradesh recently. the public service film was shot by the ace filmmaker and cinematographer in 48 hours.The cyclone which created havoc in Vizag right before Diwali left behind a very sad state of affairs with a lot of people who had their homes destroyed and their sources of livelihood in jeopardy. This video reminds us of the humanity in us and requests the viewers to contribute their share to the development of the city. The director uses children as his protagonists which helps the audience connect better.
